BLACK WATER

"Black Water" is a fusion of Rock and Blues. A little bit dark and a little bit country. Chellcy's music style has been described by the producer as "poetry to music".

This is the third track on her Black Water EP release and has been described by blog writers as an "anthem for all women."

Black Water

Black black water
Flooding my mind
You won't know what ya got boy
Until I say goodbye

Black black water
Flooding my mind
We were born to suffer
Life has not been kind

Now I got it in my mind
To break the ties that bind
Your mamma's going down south
To live beside the river's mouth

You don't know what ya done boy
Until I say goodbye
I only got one thing to teach
You don't want hear the devil preach

In this life we suffer
Hell may be more kind.
Heaven's only in your mind
That's why faith is weak and blind

Black black water
Drownin' my soul
If I stay much longer
My heart will turn black as coal

Say goodbye to hollowed ground
That’s draggin’ this girl down
Gonna leave behind the daily grind
Now your mamma’s southern bound

Black black water
Floodin' my mind
Your mamma's going down south
To find a man who’s sweet n’kind

Black black water
Floodin' my mind
You won't know what ya got boy
Until I say goodbye
