Momento Mori - Alternative Music Album - is part 1 of a double concept album and is Chellcy's debut album. Memento mori in the Latin language literally translates to “remember you must die”, but the meaning and significance of the phrase is much deeper than that. It reminds us of our own mortality, of our failures, mistakes and misfortunes, and ultimately of our inevitable demise. All of the songs on the album are meant to address these various aspects of Memento Mori and exonerate them because such is life. However, Chellcy changed is to Momento Mori because she doesn't believe anyone should dwell on death for more than a moment.
Carpe Diem - Rock Song - Is the first single released from part 2 of the double concept album Momento Mori and Carpe Diem. Part 2 of the double concept album will be ‘Carpe Diem’, which is popularly translated to “seize the day”, releasing in Oct 2025; because once you understand and respect memento mori then live life to the fullest, without restraint or regret, make the most of the present and seize the day!
Boat To Nod -Song of the Year and Best Alternative Music Performance - is a heartfelt song written by Chellcy Reitsma about loving someone through their drug addiction, despite how hard it gets, or how far away that person goes; even when at times, you feel like they love the drug more than you. Composed by Alan Degabriele. This song has a retro, psychedelic rock vibe while still being contemporary with unique and surprising rhythm changes. Chemicals - Country Song - It's not always love, sometimes it's just a chemical attraction. An enchanting tale about a short lived romantic tryst in the land of the midnight sun, Sweden. A contemporary country song steeped in European sentiment. Written by Chellcy and composed by Alan Degabriele.
Happy New Year (remix) - Remixed Recording - Originally, Chellcy wrote this song for her cousin who died in a motorcycle accident. This song utilizes a New Year's party as a metaphor for life. It's about everyone around you dying and being the last one left at this party we call life. The remix is meant to give a more hopeful vibe to a very sad song and was remixed by Peter Borg of Malta and the guitarist for the popular band Red Electric a.k.a REK and owner of Railway Studios MT. He is an award winning producer, songwriter and guitarist. The original song was composed by Alan Degabriele.
